2014 Indiana Breed Development Program

The Indiana Standardbred Breed Development Advisory Committee and Standardbred Advisory Board have made modifications to the Indiana Sires Stakes and Indiana Sired Fair Circuit programs for 2014.

The 2014 Standardbred Breed Development Program, which has been approved by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission, has been adjusted so that the sires stakes program will offer legs that consist of $20,000 eliminations, $75,000 finals, and $25,000 consolations. Five rounds of legs will then culminate in $200,000 Super Finals, with the 6th through 10th place finishers guaranteed $4,000.

The nomination fee remains at $500, and the entry fee for each leg will be $500.

The Indiana Sired Fair Circuit program will feature $3,000 divisions with a $20,000 championship and $8,000 consolations. If funding permits, second series championships will be held with $10,000 purses.
